On 23 July 1904, Charles Menches had a ‘Eureka!’ moment, while watching people eat ice cream at the World Fair at St Louis.

In short, Menches suddenly received a visit by the ice cream cone muse (aka ‘Mr Whippy’) - and the rest is history and 99s!

So, to celebrate the tardy arrival of the sun this summer, we thought we’d post this story about the ice cream cone – 108 years young today!
