  • What a touching story. A similar one was told to me by my Father back in the 1950s. It is very difficult to get ones head around such a concept. How very sad.

  • A beautiful article that really emphasises the futility of war. We would all rather live in harmony with one another so why do we let our politicians push us into conflict after conflict?

  • Reading this The Great War Christmas Truce of 1914 centered around burying the dead of both sides, but it also brought out the basic instinct within every human being at this time of year, that is peace and love…In retrospect what price all those lives lost in the following years on both sides for the sake of freedom…?

  • Imagine the consequences of the 1914 Christmas Truce spreading along the entire frontline, it might even have lead to the end of the Great War.

  • That is my comment, tere is hardly any need to say more.
