It’s the first day of the month – and not just any old month, but June! And, touch wood, it’ll be a ‘flaming June’.

Here’s a cartoon strip about the weather in June from ‘The Liverpool Echo’ of Saturday 13 June 1914.

Let’s hope the weather this next month is of the old-fashioned type, as highlighted in panel number six.
