William Butler Yeats – Born on 13 June 1865

W.B. Yeats was born in Sandymount, County Dublin, on 13 June 1865.

To celebrate the day of his birth, here are three stories from the Archive that offer a fascinating insight into his character and poetry.

Just for good measure, we’ve also included the beautiful poem, ‘He Wishes For The Cloths Of Heaven’.
