Although, at first sight, this might not sound the most exciting of headlines (‘man almost…’ is not a great hook in most newspaper stories), back in 1931, such a headline would have been worldwide news and a major subject of conversation.
After all, not for nothing was Buster Keaton known as ‘the Great Stone Face’. I mean, let’s face it, how many photos have you seen of Buster Keaton smiling or laughing?
As Buster Keaton died on 1 February 1966, to celebrate his wonderful comedy, we thought we’d post this story with the world-shaking headline.
