We were delighted to see that several stories from the BNA website were featured in last night’s episode of ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’.
Among many discoveries made via old newspapers, Nigel Havers learned that his ancestors, Henry and Jeremiah Hambion, were hackney-masters in Colchester during the mid-19th Century. Unfortunately, however, the business partnership between the two Hambion brothers was dissolved as a result of Jeremiah ending up in court on a ‘furious driving’ charge.
Included below is one of the newspaper reports (one of many stories in The Archive about the Hambion brothers) about Jeremiah Hambion’s appearance in court on a charge of ‘furious driving’.
