April was a wonderful month for new publications, with 10 titles added to the British Newspaper Archive. These included the Berwickshire Advertiser for years between 1830-1955, The Derry Journal, and Glasgow Sentinel.

So what has happened to the 20,000 pages a day capacity BNA boasted about & used as a worthless excuse to steal 4 months of our subscriptions in summer 2013 when not a single page was added? 145,000 pages divided by 20,000 gives a cosy 7 days of work in a month and the theft of 3 weeks of subscriptions! There are still no Wirral newspapers & it is a nightmare trying to find exactly what (if anything!) is added each day – ie there is still no easy way to just search the pittance of recently added content, although you have done a sleazy job of dishonestly making it appear that you are adding a lot every month. DC Thomson Family History is a despicable company & I am so glad that I cancelled my subscription to stop you stealing any more of my money. It is a disgrace that you are still well short of the fraudulently advertized 10,000 pages a day! A paltry 145,000 pages in a whole month is shameful & criminal.
Apart from the search engine, which is pretty unwieldy, I just love this collection. You can’t please all of the folks all of the time!
These are all great additions. I just hope that someday you’ll add the Kilmarnock Standard.
