‘Freedom is always the freedom of the one who thinks differently’
Rosa Luxemburg was born in Zamosc (now in Poland, then part of Russia) on 5 March 1871.
To mark the day, we’ve posted below two newspaper stories about the ‘Red Maid of the Revolution’.
The first story reports on her release from jail in 1916, while the second story contains a graphic account of her murder.
