Vivien Leigh, star of classic movies such as ‘Gone With the Wind’, ‘Waterloo Bridge’ and ‘A Streetcar Named Desire’, was born in Darjeeling, Bengal Presidency, on 5 November 1913.
To celebrate the centenary of her birth, here are two photographs of ‘Scarlett O’Hara’, an advert for ‘Gone With the Wind’ and a review of her most famous film when it was first shown in the UK.
