We had an exciting time this past week, the British Newspaper Archive published its twenty millionth page.   We didn’t rest on our laurels and since our last update on the 8th we have published almost 100,000 new pages on the site.

This week we have two brand new titles for you to explore. The Eastern Evening News joins its sister title The Eastern Morning News which we published in our push to twenty million. And The Wigan Observer and District Advertiser joins our other Lancashire titles in the Archive.

We have also added new years to 17 existing titles.  You can learn more about each one by clicking on their names below. On each paper’s title page you can learn more about our holdings and our plans for digitisation.

With these additions we are adding more years to the new titles we added recently and taking the opportunity to add to some of our longstanding titles, such as the Montrose, Arbroath and Brechin Review and Forfar and Kincardineshire Advertiser.which we first added to the Archive in 2015.
